The Journey
From the First Conversation
to What Comes After
A psilocybin journey at Zephyr Collective is a carefully held process — with a clear start, a deeply supported middle, and an ending that often feels like the beginning of something new. Every phase is designed with intention, and every step prepares you for the next.
Before You Arrive —
The Consultation
Before anything else takes place, we want to know who you are, where you are in life, and what you are hoping to get from this experience. Our intake process is thorough since your safety and the quality of your experience are directly impacted by us understanding you, as the human you are.
You will complete a medical and psychiatric history, share any medications you currently take, and speak with a member of our clinical team. We will always be honest with you if this work is right for you, and if it is not, we will communicate that and do our best to point you towards other options.
Getting Ready —
Preparation Sessions
If you move forward, your journey begins with preparation sessions. This is where we lay down the foundation.
You will meet with your facilitator twice. During these sessions, you will establish trust, get clear on your intentions, and begin to understand what you are bringing into the experience. What are you hoping to explore? What are you afraid of? What does healing actually look like in your life?
Psilocybin works in part by inviting you to let go of the control that keeps difficult material at bay. Preparation is where you learn to meet what comes up rather than fight it.
The Dosing Day —
Your Journey
This is the heart of the experience — and it is held as such.
After arriving at our center and settling in, you will review your intentions one more time with your facilitator, and when ready, ingest the psilocybin. You will be in a comfortable, private, intentionally designed environment, and you will never be alone. Your facilitator will be with you throughout, holding space for you and anything that comes up. Carefully selected music will guide each phase of the journey.
The experience typically lasts five to eight hours. When the experience begins to resolve, there will be time to ground with some light food and gentle conversation if it feels right. You will not be driving home, and a care partner or support person will be with you before you leave.
Some people encounter grief they have been carrying for years and finally feel it move.
Some experience a profound sense of connection — to themselves, to others, to something larger than their daily life.
Some move through fear and come out the other side with a clarity they did not expect.
Some encounter images, memories, or insights that feel impossible to put into words.
After the Journey —
Integration
The journey gives you material. Integration is what you do with it.
The psilocybin experience can open doors to insight, to emotion, to a different way of seeing yourself and your life. But walking through those doors and building something lasting from what you find there takes time and support. That is what integration is for.
Your integration session happens in the days following your dosing day. We'll explore questions such as: What did you learn? What shifted? What do you want to carry forward? What are you ready to leave behind?
Research is clear on this: the psilocybin experience alone does not produce lasting change. It is the integration work — the meaning-making, the reflection, the deliberate application of insight to daily life — that has the greatest impact. We take this seriously, which is why integration is built into every program and treated as essential rather than optional.
What Stays
With You
Expect us to check in with you one month, and three months after your program. We use the same validated assessments you completed at intake so we can see concretely what has shifted.
We are here if something unexpected surfaces, if you have questions, or if you feel called to go deeper. Many clients find that the work continues to unfold in the weeks that follow, and additional integration sessions are available.
This is a relationship between you, your facilitator, and a clinical team that is genuinely invested in what happens after you leave our doors.
