The evidence
The mystical experience is not a side effect. It is the mechanism.
Across more than a decade of controlled clinical research, one finding has emerged with unusual consistency: the intensity of the spiritual or mystical experience during a psilocybin session is one of the strongest predictors of therapeutic outcome. We built our model on what that literature shows.

Common questions
What you need to know
Is psilocybin therapy legal in Colorado?
Yes. Colorado's Proposition 122, passed in November 2022, legalised the regulated use of psilocybin for adults at licensed healing centres. Zephyr operates under a full licence issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), which oversees all natural medicine health services in the state.
Who is a good candidate for psilocybin therapy?
Psilocybin therapy may be helpful for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, existential distress, or those seeking deeper personal growth. Every prospective participant completes a thorough intake process — including a medical screening and consultation with our clinical team — to ensure the program is a safe and appropriate fit.
What does a typical program look like?
Our programs are structured in three phases: preparation (2–3 sessions to build a therapeutic alliance, set intentions, and address any concerns), the psilocybin experience itself (a full-day session at our Centennial centre with two trained facilitators present), and integration (follow-up sessions to help you make meaning of the experience and carry insights forward).
Are there any contraindications?
Psilocybin therapy is not recommended for individuals with a personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia, those currently taking lithium or certain SSRIs, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Our medical intake process is designed to identify any contraindications safely and without judgement.
How do I get started?

This is a no-pressure conversation to answer your questions, understand your history, and discuss whether Zephyr is the right fit. You can book directly through our website or by calling our Centennial centre.
