For Medical Practitioners
Where clinical rigor
meets the frontier
of healing.
A healing center built by clinicians, for the clinical community.
The Collective is a medically owned and operated licensed psilocybin healing center — founded by a board-certified psychiatrist, two dual-certified family and psychiatric nurse practitioners, and a clinical team with deep roots in neurology, trauma, addiction, and integrative medicine. We built this because we believe the future of mental health care belongs at the intersection of evidence and experience — and we are committed to advancing both.
We welcome referrals, collaborative relationships, and conversations with medical professionals who share that conviction.
Referrals
Referring a Patient
We communicate directly with referring providers on complex presentations. You will not be left wondering what happened after you made the referral.
When you refer a patient to Zephyr Collective, they enter a program designed to the same standard of care you hold your own practice to. Every client undergoes a comprehensive medical intake before any session is scheduled — including full medication reconciliation, psychiatric history, cardiovascular screening, and cognitive assessment. For complex presentations, we communicate directly with the referring provider before proceeding.
We work with adults navigating treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, existential distress, grief, and the psychological burden of chronic and neurological illness. We have developed specific clinical protocols for patients with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions — populations that have historically been excluded from psychedelic research and are increasingly among those with the most to gain.
Intake includes
Full medication reconciliation
Psychiatric and trauma history
Cardiovascular screening
Cognitive assessment
Direct provider communication on complex cases
If you have a patient you believe may benefit from psilocybin-assisted therapy and you are unsure whether they are an appropriate candidate, we invite a direct provider-to-provider conversation.
Research
Our Commitment to Research
As a medically owned and operated healing center, we believe we have both an opportunity and an obligation to contribute to the growing body of evidence on psilocybin's therapeutic potential — particularly in conditions that remain understudied.
Psilocybin research to date has focused primarily on depression, anxiety in the context of life-threatening illness, and substance use disorders. These are important areas and the evidence is compelling. But the frontier of what psilocybin may offer is considerably broader — and we are positioned to help map it.
We seek to contribute to emerging research in the following areas:
Collaboration
Research Collaboration
We are actively interested in collaborative research relationships with academic medical centers, neurology practices, psychiatry departments, and independent investigators working in psychedelic medicine.
As a licensed Colorado healing center with a medically trained founding team, we are positioned to contribute real-world clinical data, case documentation, and outcomes tracking to the growing evidence base.
"The science moves faster when clinicians work together."
If you are conducting or planning research in any of the areas above — or if you are treating patients whose presentations raise questions about psilocybin's potential role — we want to hear from you.
Provider Programs
Healing the Healer
We also hold space for the providers themselves.
Healthcare workers carry a particular burden — the weight of other people's suffering, the erosion of idealism that comes with years inside a system not designed for the healers within it, and the isolation of being the person who holds space for everyone else. Burnout, compassion fatigue, and moral injury are not personal failings. They are the predictable result of asking more of people than any system gives back.
Several members of our founding team came to psilocybin through their own need — as clinicians, as caregivers, as people who understood what they were recommending to others and recognized they needed it themselves. We understand what it means to need this from the inside.
We offer individual journeys, group sessions, and provider-specific programs designed for healthcare professionals seeking renewal, recalibration, and reconnection with the reason they entered this work.

You will be seen as a whole person — not as a clinician who should know better than to struggle.
Screening Standards
Contraindications & Screening
We apply rigorous screening standards and do not proceed with clients for whom psilocybin carries unacceptable risk. For neurologically complex referrals, we require direct communication with the managing specialist before proceeding.
Absolute contraindications
Personal or first-degree family history of schizophrenia or bipolar I disorder
Active or recent psychotic symptoms
Current use of MAOIs, lithium, or tramadol
Uncontrolled seizure disorder
Pregnancy
Significant uncontrolled cardiovascular disease
Relative contraindications
Reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis. We encourage provider-to-provider consultation for borderline or complex presentations before referral.
Protocol documentation
Full clinical contraindication criteria and our intake screening protocol are available upon request.
